This is the Manifestation Book that Helped me Receive 300k!

I give this book 5 stars because I truly APPRECIATE the authors approach.
If you've read e-squared, you know that it's a book designed to provide you with manifesting experiments.
The first experiment is a 48 hour challenge to show that "God" is real.
So I did it.... and nothing happened.
And I got frustrated. Then I realized, this is wrong with our society now... We expect INSTANT results.
Why did I need to ask for a gift within 48 hours and what does it say if things didn't happen for me in that time frame?
Anyway, I read this book right after and it just really put things back on track.
The author points out that you need to have patience with the Universe. It operates like the good ole US Postal Service.
You may not be able to order express shipping or do a rush order, but your package will come on time!
I feel like this author really has a better grasp on manifestation than others.
Asking the universe is so simple, realistic and inspiring. He points out the basic tools you need to make things happen.
The only thing that was missing from this is the suggestion that in manifesting you should really focus on one thing at a time.
Creating lengthy lists can be overwhelming on the brain and therefore affect your subconscious.
If I were the author the only other thing I would add is a suggestion for people to meditate. This way you can really develop a relationship with your subconscious.

Best Little Book for Manifesting Your Desires

I have read a lot of books on manifesting my desires and I loved this little book because:
1) it is a simple and easy read
2) it is a realistic approach to self empowerment
But mostly what I loved about this book was the simple tasks you were asked to do that clear the way for receiving the things you desire in your life. The best task I did was the Gratefully Received List that in writing down all the things I had aready received in my life shows you that the Universe is always working for you and you have been receiving all along. I feel this book can appeal to many as it is not loaded up with a lot of heavy reading and will work for everyone. I read my copy and then bought 2 more to send to my neice and nephew who have just graduated from College. Believe me I would have loved to have had this information at 22.

Easy-to-read little book!

I have read countless self-help books about abundance, manifesting, and the law of attraction, and this little book caught my eye. I love the way the author is precise and to the point, and he doesn't get all crazy with a million steps. I found it helpful, and I really pray that these principles work for me. I've been searching and searching for something to just "work" and so far, I feel, although these types of books help me in a lot of ways, I haven't seen the manifestation of my dreams and desires. This book helped me get more clear with what I desired and wanted, and now my order is put out into the universe! I have always known that beliefs are what draws things to you, but I think the hard part was understanding how to change them. I think there is a lot of different ways, but this little book gives you a simple way to help you. Although I wish this was longer, it was nice that it was easy-to-read, and I read it all in one day. I pray this little book works, and helps others too!

If you're looking for an explanation of what the US and its' allies were doing fighting in Russia in 1918-1919, this isn't it. If you're looking for a book that relates what war is like for the men who actually fight and die in the front lines, this is a good start.
Carey was drafted and went with the 339th Infantry to Russia as a part of the Allied Intervention in the Russian Civil War. The common soldiers knew nothing of what they were doing there - most of the officers had no clue, either. His unit wound up under British command, and was put in the front lines with no clear mission or purpose.
This is a book about the day-to-day grind of Army life in WW1; the marching, the drills, the dirt, horrible food, and hard work.

A superb addition to the literature

Fighting the Bolsheviks: The Russian War memoir of Private First Class Donald E. Carey, 1918-1919. Edited by Neil G. Carey. Presidio Press, Novato: Ca. 1997
This is truly one of the most important memoirs to come out of the so-called, Great War. To make it even more important, it didn't appear until nearly eighty years after the events. It, like the Elton Mackin memoir, is an extremely valuable addition to what we know about the ordeals suffered by the American soldiers so many years ago. In addition to some excellent personal photos, two superb maps and a chronology of events add to the value of this book, one of the few, about the famed "Polar Bears," the fighting 339th Infantry from Michigan.
Carey was a school teacher at the rather advanced age of twenty-five when Uncle Sam beckoned. Like most of his contemporaries, he was no hero, but he knew his duty and went-but not to France, where most of the action was, and where most American soldiers wound-up. No, his crowd was shipped off to North Russia. We had no declaration of war versus Russia so technically sending Americans to attempt to put down a revolution in a foreign country was fait accompli but not legal. Congress didn't like our intervention, and neither did the American soldiers sent there. Most to remain long after the war in the rest of Europe, the real war, was terminated. The lads didn't like it. But, they did their duty and were the first Americans to fight the Reds.
If you are a WWI buff, and so many people are now becoming that-as they realize what a confused, convoluted, and downright fascinating period that was-you will throughly enjoy this very personal memoir. It is great. Five stars at least. More if they are allowed.

An Educated Man Serves in A Strange Situation

I am always on the lookout for "grunt" history that covers little known theatres and periods.
His unit was sent to North Russia to protect the vast stocks of war materials left behind on the docks when the Kerensky government lost power. They had already ceased active operations against the Germans but it was the Bolsheviks who signed the peace treaty in 1918. Since the Allies did not want the Germans to capture this booty materiel an expedition was sent made up of British, French, and US army and naval forces.
In the course of guarding the lines of communications, the allies brushed against the Reds who took to raiding them. The resulting hostilities poisoned US-USSR relations for many years and it was not until the 1930s that ambassadors were exchanged. On the other side, the Allies and Japanese forced landed and took over Vladivostok and advanced west intending to garrison the Trans Siberian Railway, and relieve the Czech Legion which had been formed from POWs from the Austro Hungarian Empire, since they could not march westward through the German Army to get home to Czechoslovakia. Remember, that before 1918, neither Poland nor CZ nor Yugoslavia existed as modern governments. All were carved out of the remnants of the German, Russian, and Austro-Hungarian empires.
This Siberian expedition which ended up aiding the White Russians also served to alienate the Red government which won the Russian Civil War. Later on US troops who fought against the Bolsheviks formed a society of remembrance, a veteran's club, if you will, and held annual meetings, were thought suspect simply because they had touched Reds, and the federal authorities kept track of their activities for years after.

Amazing World of Horses both original and midnight editions my favorites by Cindy but this book a nice follow up. Be warned there are a couple of ugly horses depicted, another that doesn't even have a tail and another with a nasty chain halter. Most serious fault is many of the horses have just an empty eye socket, no eye drawn! Don't know what the story is with that but very unattractive. Most though are nicely built, plenty of flowing manes and otherwise appealing. Hard to descern many different breeds most are generic either drafty, Iberian or araby, plus a mule and a cute pony. Much prettier inside than the cover drawing. Hopefully Cindy's next horse book will have her best efforts and leave out the equines with misshapen body conformation, blank eyes and pieces of tack. We want our horses Amazing, Wild and Enchanted!

For horse lovers.

I wanted horses, I got horses.
I do believe that this book is more for coloring pencils than gel pens as there are many huge horses and large spaces to fill. One can always do both as I did in the second picture. However, there are some where the horses are filled with designs that could be drawn with gel pens more easily.
I knocked out a star because of those designs. I know there is just so many you can draw on a horse, but it feels like it's always the same ones from a horse to the other, or outside in the surroundings.
Overall, this book is perfect for horse lovers. (My favorite ones are the Pegasus. I'm so afraid to mess them up that I haven't touched them yet, but they look awesome!)

I didn't particularly like though, so I haven't colored anything. I found the illustrations lacking personality. A few of the drawing are quite nice but the majority seem generic drawings to sell coloring books. The paper is not good, so be aware that you will not be able to use markers; or, you could make copies on cardstock paper.

Some good ideas

The GOOD:
- Great pictures of completed projects and projects in progress
- Lots of techniques
- Great ideas for making handmade tools, stamps
- Good overview of color mixing
- Good overview on pg 125 of the different brand polymer clays along with notes about how best to use them for different techniques
- Good overview of enameling but the same effects can probably be simulated using resin colored with transparent or opaque colors
- Good overview of inclusions
- Good overview of how to simulate semi-precious stones
- Decent overview of Mokume Gane though YouTube videos will make the process clearer
- The author does list some foreign and US-based suppliers but no brands

The BAD:
- Most of the tools, supplies etc. used are not listed by brand name which would have been extremely helpful. In fact the author goes out of the way not to be specific about brand options. For example the author uses pictures of Kemper cutters on Pg 19 but never mentions their brand name so someone looking for the same type of cutter would have a harder time finding it. Another example on pg 90 when the author is talking about metallic and pearlescent powders it would have been very helpful to have an idea of what brands were used (ex. Pearl-Ex) and what other brands are comparable. Now I personally have a good selection of different metallic and pearlescent powders and waxes and have a good idea of when to use them, but if I was new to these types of supplies I'd be extremely lost.
- Techniques are not extremely detailed and I would recommend using YouTube instructional videos to see step by step instructions. I've already seen most of these techniques on YouTube so the limited instructions made sense but if I hadn't, again I would have been lost.
- Mica Shift technique is poorly explained.

CONCLUSION:
If you're new to polymer clay and simply looking for ideas and inspiration this is a good book to buy but if you need more detailed steps and information about how different types of tools and supplies work then this is probably not the book for you. I found a few techniques I had not seen or thought of so from that perspective the book was valuable. The pictures again, are great.

Best Book for Both Beginners and Non-Beginners !! ( ' u ^)

I purchased this book using a Amazon gift card my bestie gave me for my Birthday. The shipment of this book was quite fast ! But what I love the most is what's inside the book. I wouldn't call myself a beginner but more an intermediate-tiny bit advanced skilled Polymer clay artist and this book contains alot of information and techniques some of which I didn't even know about. There's plenty of project ideas and it goes through everything you practically need to know about Polymer Clay techniques. It has lots of beautiful pictures in high detail and is a book that will be useful time and time again as a refresher and to pass on to friends even children who would like to dabble in the art of Polymer clay work. I especially love the page where they compare different Polymer clay brands and rate them by durability and baked results. (-ʌ-) Kinda sad to know my clay brand I use got voted the lowest. Overall this book is a MUST-HAVE whether you're a beginner, intermediate, or advanced skilled this is a book I'd recommend you get !!

Worth every penny

I've bought several polymer clay books, and this is one is my favorite. The how-to's are easy to follow, and the pictures are extremely helpful as well. This gem was compiled masterfully, and I reference it often when I have time for hobbies.

Within its pages are techniques for mixing, shaping, texturing, imitation (other art-forms such as mosaics), as well as photos of some amazing work by modeling pros.

I highly recommend this book - and that's coming from someone who tries to figure out most things on my own, like looking something up would be cheating or weak. It's not, and if you want to make some neat, professional looking artwork out of polymer clay, then this book can help you develop and refine some useful techniques quite quickly.

That's a pamphlet, not a book

Seriously, it's a pamphlet, not a book. The "book" in a practical manner quickly introduces the reader to the ego states and a spattering of scenarios to equip the reader in his/her journey towards healthy autonomy. However, there are too few chunks to digest to accomplish such a goal. I would not have spent 99 cents had I known it was so brief in its content.
