True Undefiled Wisdom…

Coming straight from the mind of a Satanist, I myself am highly impressed with this book, as I usually do not gravitate much towards other so-called Satanic literature other than the usual prescribed books within the venues of the Church of Satan, unless of course, I feel it may hold water. But this, “The Satanic Predator Within: Awakening to the Self” was the exception. As I was gleaming through its pages, I was truly awestruck. This book was quite an intriguing read, which contains in my own conclusion, “true” Satanic thought, alongside insightful and valuable practices within the kingdom of both “Lesser” and “Greater” magic. I highly recommend this book!

Good source of basic information.

I compliment the author on making a source of information on this topic available to the masses. The information will prove useful to someone who is new to Left Hand Path thought and/or the predatory instinct. If you are a natural predator or a seasoned LHP practitioner then the information will be too basic. The book was written towards a male audience to the extent that it could prove alienating to females.

The Path of the Predator section is essentially what you might consider as a guide for the Satanic Warlock. A guide for men to take full advantage of their natural power within, through various approaches such as using the “tongue” to manipulate those around them in order to have their desire(s) magnified, which the author calls: Gathering a Unified Belief. Further the author adds what you might want to call “accessories” to assist in the molding and shaping of the minds into a state of belief, such as choosing the right clothing, colors, jewelry, etc., atop in which the Predator should present himself; the way in which he should move, look, and more.

The Path of the Magician combined with The Path to Metamorphosis and The Path to Manifestation sections are what the author would consider as a primer of advanced knowledge dedicated to the hallmarks of Satanic magic, philosophy, misanthrope, pragmatism, and more. These sections all belong to one another and are unique in their own way, but all contain many things in common. All three sections also provide a blend of various “practices,” for the Satanic aspirant to experiment with, in order to properly illustrate desire through proper awareness and understanding of bioelectrical energy.

The last section, Into the World of Renewal contains a blend of different “worlds of experiences” that the author has experienced, in which he subtly states underneath his words, a deeper, hidden meaning of the world of a Satanic Sorcerer.
All in all, The Satanic Predator Within: Awakening to the Self, is an essential core to the Satanist’s library, which is a must have for any who wish to evolve.

Great, user-friendly reference guide to medications

This book is a clear, user-friendly, well-organized reference book updated with DSM-V diagnoses and recent clinical research on current medications used for each diagnosis. It is a good reference for medical professionals as it has recommended labs, dosage information, black box warnings, etc. It is also clear enough and basic for allied mental health professionals such as psychologists, therapists, and social workers to enhance their understanding of the medications that their consumers may be on. Consumers likewise can easily look up the symptoms of their diagnoses as well as the risks, benefits, and side effects of their particular medications.
The book is very well-organized and dense but much of the information is bulleted or bold so it is quick to scan and get the information you need.

Good Resource for Psychiatric Medications

As an instructor for psychiatric nurse practitioner students, I recommend this book as a good clinical resource for students to review medication indications, dosing, contraindications, common side effects, black box warnings, tapering, and use of these medications in special populations. This book contains a very easy to follow format to review different classes of medications as well as OTC, Dietary, and Herbal supplements used in psychiatry. This book also contains a section on important DSM 5 changes as well as ETC and other brain stimulation therapies which were nicely summarized. The book is lightweight and reasonably priced for the amount of information contained.

Interesting book

Honestly I bought this book thinking on a BASEBALL Law book, but I was surprised on how interesting it is. It has real legal facts and cases that has happened in baseball. Easy to read (I finished it in one afternoon - watching a game ..)

A Great Read!

The Little White Book of Baseball Law is well worth the price. The authors, John H. Minan and Kevin Cole, have blended 226 pages of fascinating legal disputes from baseball's history with an examination of some of the more arcane rules in baseball. This lawyer/reader, as an 11 year old Cleveland Indians fan, without a television, began my love of baseball around the time I "heard" Willie Mays' famous over the head catch in the 1954 World Series. The Little White Book of Baseball Law more than satisfied my 55 year quest to understand everything worthy that America's pastime could brings to our culture.

The depth and breadth of The Little White Book of Baseball Law is commendable. The eighteen chapter subjects range from Sammy Sosa's corked bat incident in 2003, to the perjury allegations against Barry Bonds derived from his Grand Jury testimony. There is an explanation of when, why, and if, Media corporations televising Major League Baseball can preempt Major League Baseball games.

Virtually every page has a tidbit of information that even the most dedicated fan will appreciate. Perhaps the most interesting literary device in the Book is the "Umpire's Ruling" segment that follows each chapter explaining a pertinent legal issue of the game in concise lay person's terms. What happens when a pitched ball is stuck in the catcher's mask? What are the rules for "balks"? When is a catch a legal "catch"? Who is liable for injuries on and off the field, and on the way to the hospital? What are the merits of metal bats versus wooden bats? The reader will discover that a ball hit by a metal bat will travel at a speed of more than 100 miles per hour (mph) over 40% of time and arrive at the pitchers mound in less than .4 of a second, a shade faster than the average ball hit by a wooden bat, therefore reducing the reaction time of a pitcher finishing up his pitch.

The most interesting chapter for me was the concise explanation of the positive impact of Curt Flood's unsuccessful legal battle on the reserve clause in the Federal Courts, which ultimately became the catalyst for the "Curt Flood Act" in which Congress included major league baseball players' "employment" contracts within the protections of the antitrust laws, but did not provide minor league players with the same protection in order to preserve the Minor League farm system. As Tip O'Neil once said "Everything is political". Apparently, even in Baseball.

Grand Slam

My wife purchased this book for me as a Birthday Gift and I cannot sum it up any better than stating "Professor Minan hit this one out of the park!". After falling in love with the Professor's first book in this series "The Little Green Book of Golf Law", I couldn't wait to start this one. The sequel surely does not disappoint the baseball purist. I challenge Professor Minan to come up with his next installment in the international realm of "football" -- surely there are great international legal cases that would entertain us from continent to continent! Bravo Professor!

About the Author
Curt A. Levis was director of The Ohio State University ElectroScience Laboratory from 1961 to 1969. He received the Eta Kappa Nu Distinguished Teaching Award in 1978, 1979, and 1980; he also received a Distinguished Teaching Award from The Ohio State University Alumni Association in 1980. Professor Levis is an IEEE Fellow.

Joel T. Johnson is a professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and ElectroScience Laboratory at The Ohio State University. His research interests are in the areas of electromagnetics, propagation, and microwave remote sensing. He is an IEEE Fellow and a recipient of the ONR Young Investigator, PECASE, and NSF CAREER awards.

Fernando L. Teixeira is an associate professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and ElectroScience Laboratory at The Ohio State University, as well as Associate Editor for IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters. He is a recipient of the NSF CAREER Award and the triennial USNC-URSI Booker Fellowship.

Good book for intro into practical radiowave propagation.

This is a great book for intro into radiowave propagation. It covers everything from atmospheric and rain attenuation, fresnel zones, statistical propagation, ground wave, ionospheric propagation, and many others. This is not a book for learning all about the physics behind this intricate propagation methods, but a great book for learning how to put the methods to use. It does require previous knowledge of Electromagnetic theory, because the review in the beginning will not be enough to learn the material from scratch. The book is wrote in such a way that it is very easy to learn from for self study, but there are no problems in the book to check your understanding. There are however many worked examples of propagation systems that are currently being used all over the world. Overall it is a great book for someone wanting to get a good intro into propagation or someone in another area of Electrical Engineering who want to gain an thorough understanding to the methods of radiowave propagation.

Good book. Seems very thorough in my limited knowledge of the subject

I have the pre-released version as printed by UniPrint in 2008. I took the propagation class with author Joel Johnson who mentioned a real book was on its way. According to the table of contents in the book previews on this and other sites my printed copy is identical except this book seems to have better figure quality and is hard bound.

This book has been a great reference in my space mission design class recently when we got to the link budget analysis sections. I like the plentiful charts showing empirical data for various path loss scenarios. They are a handy way to get a sanity check and make some quick calculations. I'm very tempted to buy this so I can have the hardcover with nicer images.

Too brief to be of much value, even at the introductory level

With ISO/IEC 20000 official standard documents each costing more than $100 for each part, it is very tempting to purchase a 3rd-party publication, which provides a comprehensive enough overview of the standard at a small fraction of the cost. This book is not a good choice, because it does not offer much more than descriptions of the corresponding documents, which can be found elsewhere at no cost.
